Meet Rocket!
Say hello to Rocket, our rescued blue heeler and unofficial Chief Motivation Officer. You might spot him trotting alongside demo runs or lounging near the checkout counter, always ready for head scratches. His energy is a daily reminder to keep things playful, welcoming, and full of joy.
Our Story
Runsoncloud began when founder Maya Ortiz struggled to find the right spikes for her high-school track team. Determined to support local athletes, she opened a small 400 sq ft shop with just six shoe models—and a whole lot of passion.
Word spread, group runs grew, and soon Maya’s brother Alex joined to lead community outreach. By 2008, Runsoncloud launched its first e-commerce store; today, orders ship nationwide from our modern distribution hub—but our neighborhood roots remain stronger than ever.
Now in its third generation, the Ortiz family continues to lead Runsoncloud with innovation and care. Maya’s daughter, Lena, heads sustainability initiatives—phasing out plastic tape for plant-based alternatives and partnering with eco-conscious brands that upcycle ocean plastics. Many team members have been with us for over a decade, and every new hire goes through “Runner’s First Steps”, a two-week immersion covering biomechanics, product technology, and the art of genuine conversation.
